ABOUT

Background and Style

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University in Los Angeles and have worked in community mental health and private practice for numerous years. My education and training have led to me to work with people from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds and of all sexual orientations and genders.

The foundation of my style is rooted in Narrative Therapy, a collaborative approach that addresses the social, family, and political contexts impacting life issues. Working within this interactive and creative framework, I use reflective questions and curiosity to promote more self-awareness, confidence, and better relationships.

While my core philosophy is guided by Narrative Therapy, I am also influenced by mindfulness practices, which offer practical ways of managing the physical effects of difficult emotional experiences. Therapy can lead to significant personal change because it provides a space to challenge diminishing judgments, rediscover forgotten skills and intentions, and expand personal resources.

I look forward to connecting with you in this meaningful process.
